Office with Varying Elevations and Insulated Metal Panels

Woodruff Construction’s office is a 9,700 sf structure designed to merge functionality, durability, and architectural innovation. The facility provides ample office space and features four single slope pre-engineered metal building systems, Metl-Span’s insulated metal panels in Charcoal for the walls, and a Nucor CFR standing seam roof system in matching Charcoal. A patio canopy adds an inviting touch, while the building is thoughtfully designed for future expansion.

What distinguishes this project is the integration of four separate PEMB structures into one cohesive building. Each component varies in height, roof pitch, and structural layout, requiring meticulous coordination to achieve seamless transitions. A continuous 3-foot concrete stem wall encircles the perimeter, providing weather protection and visual unity while showcasing Woodruff’s expertise in self-performed work.

Exposed steel elements highlight Woodruff’s dedication to craftsmanship, while careful detailing ensures insulation termination and maintains a clean, appealing interior. Natural daylighting is also a priority, with extensive glazing incorporated into the metal building system—demanding precise coordination of framing, insulation, and flashing.
