Large Metal Service Center with 30-ton Cranes

This over 200,000 sf production facility is designed to support aluminum can coil coating operations through a highly functional layout composed of multiple single slope and lean-to structures. A standout feature is the 40-foot deep slitter pit, which enables unrolling, dipping, and recoiling of coils without shortening the material. The facility also includes three towers for specialized equipment and incorporates three 30-ton top running cranes.

The building showcases Nucor’s CFR roof system in Regal White, paired with R-Panel walls in Slate Gray, Royal Blue, and Pearl Gray. Wall lites and below-eave canopies were incorporated into the design. Together, these features create a durable and efficient production facility for Precoat Metals.
