Clear Span Riding Arena for County Fairgrounds

Box Elder County wanted a high performance riding arena for their local fairgrounds that was easy to maintain, well lit, cost-effective, and free of interior columns. Their answer was a 240’ clear span Nucor building with the TrussFrame open web rafter system.

To increase lighting and reduce energy costs, translucent panels were installed along perimeter of structure. The truss sections were bolted together on the ground and lifted into place. This process reduced construction time by 25% over the previously scheduled completion date.
