Truck Service Center with Solar Canopies and Overhead Doors

The Whiteford Kenworth dealership in Rossford, Ohio, spans 81,740 sf, comprising a 73,440 sf ground level with an 8,300 sf mezzanine for executive offices. Six pre-engineered metal buildings were strategically placed to support operational flow and departmental separation.

Architectural highlights include a spacious showroom with 30' ceilings and glass overhead doors that flood the interior with natural light. This area connects seamlessly to corporate offices, a driver lounge, and a parts counter. Adjacent to this is a nearly 20,000 sf parts warehouse, linked to the executive offices via a mezzanine and staircase.

The service area features 26 bays, a 5-ton crane, and a separate wash bay, all supported by 21 vertical lift overhead doors for streamlined operations.

The dealership showcases a modern and sustainable design, integrating energy-efficient components throughout its campus. Two solar canopies were installed to enhance both visual appeal and functional efficiency. The building was also designed to accommodate future roof-mounted solar panels, reinforcing its long-term sustainability goals.
