Retail Distribution Building Expansion

A leading specialty apparel retailer expanded its current 189,600 sf distribution center located in Weirton, West Virginia by adding an additional 180,000 sf of space with a goal of increasing efficiency.

The building expansion consisted of 12 door receiving docks and improved truck circulation areas with a Nucor CFR standing seam roof system. Also added was 9,000 sf used as a break room, exercise area with restrooms, locker rooms, and a new cafeteria with access to an outdoor seating area.

This project was awarded the 2012 Project B.E.S.T. Award by the Building Efficiency by Striving Together Agency of West Virginia.
