Crane Building with Stepped Parapets & Clerestory
This 30,000 sf high-tech facility is the second building on the Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center R&D’s campus. This structure is designed to have all seven major types of metal additive technologies, which help support their work of 3D printing with metals.
Four custom metal building systems compose a large manufacturing floor, ample office space with adjoining classrooms, and a partner collaboration area. Unique features include the clear span shop with a top running & monorail cranes, roof equipment and screens, office clerestory, and a uniquely crafted at-eave canopy.
This thoughtfully designed structure features different textures of wall paneling and varying parapet heights that add to the building’s visual appeal. The neutral-toned color palette with accent colors polish the front facade and allow the architectural detailing to beam.
