Pool Chemical Production Facility

Located directly north of Cameron, LA, the BioLab Westlake facility was a victim of Hurricane Laura. Nucor Building Systems helped complete the construction of the new Bio-Lab low bay warehouse, which was vital to the operational startup of the facility.

The low bay warehouse was designed for product handling and storage with spaces for casing, palletized and racking, and a 24-hour storage area. The main structure is a custom metal building system that needed to integrate seamlessly with a seven-level process tower and two pre-engineered buildings. Nucor provided 19-4 carbon steel bar grating, 1-1/4” deep, 3/16 bar, serrated, galvanized, and rooftop framing for the roof platform mezzanine.

Structural steel was galvanized, and roof, wall, and trim were finished in a PVDF paint system. Additionally, Nucor provided serrated, galvanized support beams and columns for the catwalk mezzanine.
