Glass Manufacturing Facility with Expandable Endwall

This custom pre-engineered building allowed Cardinal Glass to move from their smaller, leased facilities while doubling the production lines and creating new jobs. The main building features the fully bolted roof joist system, which required no on-site welding. It features a 35' clear height to accommodate its laminated glass production.

The interior, which is fully lined with Nucor Classic Wall, includes jib & top-running cranes. The back sidewall was designed for a 72,000 sf lean-to clear span expansion in which the crane unit will extend into the future addition. Nucor provided support, frame & curbs for six exhaust fan units weighing 850 lb each. The exterior is a combination of Nucor Classic Wall with a brick facade wainscot, and horizontal metal panel on the attached office lean-to.
