High Grade Gold Mine Building in Canada

The Brucejack Mine is a 2,700 ton/day high-grade gold underground mine located in northwestern British Columbia. This plant site houses a complex process in which concentrate is pressure-leveled in acidic solutions to separate iron, sulfur, and other impurities from nickel, copper, and cobalt.

Nucor Building Systems designed, detailed and fabricated a series of custom pre-engineered steel buildings for this project. This custom steel building features a 138’ eave height, four large overhead bridge cranes, a 345psf snow load, and multiple levels and locations of interior steel platforms. It is fully clad with insulated metal panel. As a truly unique and complex project, the building site is located in a remote and mountainous area of Canada bringing many inherent construction and delivery challenges to the project. A commitment to a transparent process and execution of our focus resulted in a successful project delivered on-time and under-budget.
