Glass Manufacturing Facility with Expandable Endwall

This custom pre-engineered building allowed Cardinal Glass to move from their smaller, leased facilities while doubling the production lines and creating new jobs. The main building features the fully bolted Nucor ClearBay® roof joist system, which required no on-site welding. It features a 35' clear height to accommodate its laminated glass production.

The interior, which is fully lined with Nucor Classic Wall, includes jib & top-running cranes. The back sidewall was designed for a 72,000 sf lean-to clear span expansion in which the crane unit will extend into the future addition. Nucor provided support, frame & curbs for six exhaust fan units weighing 850 lb each. The exterior is a combination of Nucor Classic Wall with a brick facade wainscot, and horizontal metal panel on the attached office lean-to.
