Nucor Building Systems' Role in Green Buildings

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) first launched their LEED program in August 1998 at their Membership Summit.  LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and provides a benchmark for design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.  Information on LEED certified buildings constructed using products provided by Nucor Building Systems.

The LEED Rating System rates the aggregate system of the building and individual components of the building do not, by themselves earn points. However, the following chart shows how products provided by Nucor Building Systems contribute to earning LEED points:
