A full staff of in-house engineers and detailing personnel ensure prompt and efficient consideration of special design needs. All engineering follows industry specifications and the Metal Building Manufacturers Association.

All buildings are designed and certified by company registered professional engineers in accordance with the loading information specified to Nucor on the signed Nucor Order Document and in compliance with the MBMA. Nucor follows the recommended code of standard practice for steel joists (SJI) and steel decking (SDI) for roof and floor applications.
