Al joined the Nucor team in 1996 after graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. 

Al began his career as a Design Engineer at our Indiana plant, and later joined the startup division of NBS-TX and was soon promoted to Estimating Supervisor.  In 2001, he transferred to NBS-SC as Engineering Manager and was promoted to General Manager in January of 2008.

Al's committment to his community has led him to become a member of the “Steering Committee of taking Columbia from Good to Great.” He also is a member of Vistage. In his free time, Al enjoys water sports and wood working. He and his wife also like to travel.
